The Land of Castles and Purity
Day Seven: Favorite Lusus
Kanaya’s Virgin Mother Grub
This choice was easy. All the other lusi are kind of freaks and circus acts and basically not very helpful as custodians, but Kanaya’s is pretty much a real person and most closely approximates an actual parent.
Fun fact: I am pretty good at Latin and I’ve been wondering for a while why Hussie called these things “lusi,” which pretty much means “game” or “amusement.” But I was reading through again and the first introduction of one refers to it as a “lusus naturae,” which would translate out as “freak of nature,” and that makes more sense.
